* I'm a 21-year-old college student.
* I'm Peruvian and currently residing in Toronto for the duration of my 4-year bachelor's degree in Professional Writing at York University.
* The majority of my entries tend to be random and long-winded and relating every single detail that you never wanted to know about my life because, most of the time, I just like to hear myself speak. Or type. So read, don't read, do as you please. If you do, however, drop me a comment every once in a while so that I know I'm not just talking to myself.
* I watch entirely too many TV shows. My current favourite shows are Chuck, Castle, How I Met Your Mother, and Lost (though I have put the latter on probation for killing off Juliet). I also have an inexplicable love for crime procedurals, no matter how identical they all ultimately are. My absolute favourite is NCIS, but I'm also forever loyal to Bones, CSI NY, Cold Case, and I've just recently gotten hooked on The Mentalist, with which I also foresee a lengthy and steady relationship developing. Like I said, too much TV.
* I also have an almost self-destructive relationship with competitive reality shows, wherein I always end up depressed because my favourites are always eliminated and yet I can't stop watching them. Famous heartbreaks have ocurred with The Amazing Race (the Bowling Moms in season 5 and the BQs in seasons 10 and 11), America's Next Top Model (Brittany in season 4), Dancing with the Stars (Jennie Garth in season 5), Latin American Idol (Samantha in season 2 and Nicole in season 3 (yes, it does exist and, regardless of what I may or may not say about it, it is quite awesome)) and, most recently, So You Think You Can Dance (Chelsie in season 4 and Janette in season 5).
* I fall in love with entirely too many characters/celebrities and tend to proclaim my love in squeefests. It's not often, but it happens. My current love affair is with Jessica Leccia, but I have also been known to be ridiculously in love with Gillian Anderson and Kate Walsh to almost the same degree.
* I'm dorky, geeky and nerdy.
* I love memes, but more often than not they'll end up somewhere in my hard drive rather than in an entry.
* I love to read. My favorite author is the Colombian Gabriel García Márquez, but I'm also a very big fan of Harry Potter.
* Among my music loves are Tegan and Sara, the crossover string quartet Bond, Shania Twain, and, under the Latin American category (because my playlist would never be complete without Latin music), singers Olga Tañón, Diego Torres, Juan Luis Guerra, and the cuteness that is Julieta Venegas.
* This journal is friends-only, but if you still wanna friend me after this long-winded warning, go right ahead. If we share more than just a few interests, I'll friend you back.
